IterPark Privacy Policy

Overview

IterPark helps users plan parking, save their car location, receive area alerts and communicate with nearby users through temporary chat messages that expire automatically. Privacy is central: other users do not see your real identity, phone number, email address or account details.

Information we may collect

• Location data, when permitted, to show nearby parking information, alerts, chat relevance and saved car location.
• Anonymous user or installation identifiers used to operate alerts, devices, chat and app limits.
• Temporary chat messages, quick notices and user feedback related to parking or mobility.
• Device and app information needed for diagnostics, reliability, notifications and support.
• Optional screenshots or messages you choose to send when reporting an issue or suggestion.

How information is used

We use information to provide map features, parking estimates, alerts, notifications, anonymous nearby chat, saved car location, support, abuse prevention, app reliability and service improvement.

Location and car connection

IterPark may use location in the foreground or background when you allow it, for example to detect when you are driving, parked or near an area alert. Connecting IterPark to your car through Bluetooth or CarPlay is recommended for better detection of driving and parking events. The app uses only connection and disconnection events. It does not access calls, conversations or car audio.

Chat privacy

Chat uses public aliases or anonymous identifiers. Human messages are temporary and expire automatically: general chat messages and nearby quick notices expire after about 30 minutes; direct chats, group chats and system messages expire after about 12 hours. Quick notices such as leaving a space are shown to nearby users within the relevant radius instead of being broadcast globally.

Parking estimates

Parking availability and colored street information are estimates based on available data, timing, local rules and user signals. They are not a guarantee of a free parking space and do not replace official street signs or local regulations.
